Reaganomics Finally Trickles Down To Area Man

HAZELWOOD, MO—Twenty-six years after Ronald Reagan first set his controversial fiscal policies into motion, the deceased president's massive tax cuts for the ultrarich at last trickled all the way down to deliver their bounty, in the form of a $10 bonus, to Hazelwood, MO car-wash attendant Frank Kellener.

The late President Ronald Reagan clearly had people like present-day car wash attendant Frank Kellener in mind when articulating his "trickle-down" economic theory in the early 1980s.

"Back when Reagan was in charge, I didn't think much of him," Kellener, 57, said, holding up two five-dollar bills nearly three decades in the making. "But who would have thought that in 2007 I'd have this extra $10 in my pocket? He may not have lived to see it, but I'm sure President Reagan is up in heaven smiling down on me right now."......

BOOKS TO SHATTER THE CONSENSUAL HALLUCINATION

*Mind Before Matter,* edited by John Mack "Materialism is the dominant worldview in the West today. But it is only one worldview, and it doesn't completely work, even, ironically, being gradually undermined by the science that gave rise to it. This anthology of essays from significant figures in the world of science and consciousness studies sketches the framework for a new model of reality

-- one based on the primacy of consciousness rather than of matter. It is a model we will need for survival on this planet. Mind Before Matter represents the first concerted salvo in a debate that could affect the worldview held by the modern, dominant culture."

What are the odds? How often do I engage an Anonymous poster?

Just my fucking luck. I really wanted to know if the 3% guy believes that no crimes have been committed. Actually, I already KNOW that he believes that crimes have been committed. I just wanted to read, in his own words, that he doesn't care that crimes have been committed.

Fear, Hate and Hand Grenades: Extremists' Unrelenting Assault on Immigrants

The Other Zapatista: Listening to Emiliano Zapata, a laborer who happens to be the grandson and namesake of the legendary Mexican revolutionary

I wish my American friends who fret about Mexican immigrants could be here with me. Listening to Emiliano Zapata, a laborer who happens to be the grandson and namesake of the legendary Mexican revolutionary, they perhaps would get a clearer sense of how the migration of Mexicans originated a few decades ago and why it continues today.

The state of Morelos is where Zapata’s revolution—one of the various armed struggles that made up the multifaceted Mexican Revolution—started almost a century ago, before it spread all across the south of Mexico. Zapata was a mestizo whose lifelong mission was the return of land to indigenous people who had been dispossessed by Europeans. The Institutional Revolutionary Party, or PRI, which was a byproduct of the revolution and governed Mexico for almost the entire 20th century, styled itself “Zapatista” and staked its legitimacy in great part on a massive land reform. Today Zapata’s grandson, who lives in misery, tells me why the legacy of the revolution is an unmitigated failure with respect to peasants in the countryside.

“The land was given to the people, all right,” says Emiliano. “Under the ejido system, a plot of land was handed to peasant villages and communities, and each one appointed a commissar to preside over it. Then the politicians bribed or co-opted the appointees and politicized the whole thing. The local party bosses would get the commissars to inflate the price of public works in their villages and towns, splitting the excess money with them. The commissars would also ensure that the ejidatarios gave political support to the party.“

White House Cites

White House Cites ‘Executive Privilege’ To Block Inquiry On ‘Eviscerated’ Global Warming Testimony
Last month, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) officials revealed that the White House “eviscerated” the congressional testimony of CDC President Julie Gerberding on the “Human Impacts of Global Warming.” The deletions included “details on how many people might be adversely affected because of increased warming” and the scientific basis of specific diseases impacted by climate change.

Last week, Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) wrote to President Bush “requesting a full accounting of what occurred during that review process.” Appearing on MSNBC today, Boxer said the administration has stonewalled her efforts, claiming executive privilege:

Many pages of it were redacted… And by the way, we wrote the President. He gave our letter to Fred Fielding, the chief counsel over there, his counsel, who said ‘executive privilege, I don’t have to tell you what she wrote.’ … So yes, I think they are hiding this. I think they are hiding a lot of things. It’s their way, it’s their habit, it’s wrong.

Watch it:

Fielding claimed that “the request by its very nature seeks communications involving pre-decisional deliberative materials relating to an inter-agency review process…it is clear that the request implicates core Executive Branch interests and raises separation of powers concerns.”

Fielding added that he may continue to “withhold documents” in the future and redirected Boxer to Vice President Cheney’s office in regards to Boxer’s “request for vice president records.”

A January report found 435 instances in which the administration interfered with the work of government climate change scientists over the past five years. Despite the administration’s refusal to explain what it is hiding, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino maintains Gerberding’s testimony “was not watered down.”

Read the unredacted version of Gerberding’s testimony at Science Progress.

Millions of toys recalled;

Millions of toys recalled; contain 'date rape' drug
Two U.S. children went into comas after who swallowing Chinese-made Aqua Dots found to contain a chemical that converts into 'date rape' drug when ingested.
November 7 2007: 9:04 PM EST

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Millions of Chinese-made toys have been pulled from shelves in North America and Australia after scientists found they contain a chemical that converts into a powerful date rape drug when ingested. Two children in the U.S. and three in Australia were hospitalized after swallowing the beads.

With only seven weeks until Christmas, the recall is yet another blow to the toy industry -- already bruised by a slew of recalls this past summer.

In the United States, the toy goes by the name Aqua Dots, a highly popular holiday toy distributed by Toronto-based Spin Master Toys. They are called Bindeez in Australia, where they were named toy of the year at an industry function earlier this year.

It could not immediately be learned whether Aqua Dots beads are made in the same factories as the Bindeez product. Both are sold by Australia-based Moose Enterprises.

The toy beads are sold in general merchandise stores and over the Internet for use in arts and crafts projects. They can be arranged into designs and fused together when sprayed with water.

Scientists say a chemical coating on the beads, when ingested, metabolizes into the so-called date rape drug gamma hydroxy butyrate. When eaten, the compound -- made from common and easily available ingredients -- can induce unconsciousness, seizures, drowsiness, coma and death.

I'm not sure that I understand what you have written. Do you base your certainty that no crimes have been committed on the fact that "serious lawyers both paid and unpaid" have not stepped up to the plate and, therefore, those same lawyers recognize that there is no case to be made?

Our Mystery Aid [to Pakistan]

by Matthew Yglesias

Spencer Ackerman's been taking a look at how American aid gets delivered to Pakistan and it basically amounts to handing over billions of dollars of cash stuffed into garbage bags.

More specifically, "the U.S. gives Musharraf's government about $200 million annually and his military $100 million monthly in the form of direct cash transfers."

That's basically untraceable, unaccountable money. Over a billion a year goes direct to the Pakistani military in what CSIS's Rick Barton characterizes as "a sort of a handshake deal between militaries" in which we "we don't have a lot of record-keeping."

Keep that in mind, and then flip back to Joshua Hammer's recent Pakistan article for The Atlantic:
Ayesha Siddiqa, a well-known analyst in Islamabad and the author of Military Inc.: Inside the Pakistani Military Economy, says that the armed forces are major players in real estate, agribusiness, and several other industries. The empire includes banks, cable-TV companies, insurance agencies, sugar refineries, private security firms, schools, airlines, cargo services, and textile factories. The Fauji Foundation, for instance, is a “welfare trust” that is run by the defense ministry and spans 15 business enterprises. It provides cushy jobs for hundreds of retired officers (many retire in their late 40s), pays few taxes, and channels profits into a fund that is intended to benefit retired military personnel. And it is just one of several giant military-run foundations and companies that were set up decades ago and have grown steadily ever since.

The military’s intrusion into commerce is quite visible in Islamabad, if you know what to look for. The logos of the Fauji Foundation and other military-run conglomerates appear on trucks, boxes, and buildings throughout the city. As Hoodbhoy told me, “They own gas companies. They make fertilizer, cement, soap, bottled water. They even make cereals, so when I have breakfast, I can’t get away from them.”

Basically, this money could be going anywhere for any purpose -- it's just a kind of giant bribe to Pakistan's military and political elite (and in a military dictatorship it's not such a key distinction) not something that goes to support particular programs.

China: “We will favor stronger currencies over weaker ones, and will readjust accordingly.”

NYT

The most immediate trigger for the sell-off in the dollar, traders said, was a jarring signal that suggested China might shift some of its enormous hoard of dollars and dollar-denominated assets — more than $1.4 trillion — into other currencies to get a better return on its money.

“We will favor stronger currencies over weaker ones, and will readjust accordingly,” Cheng Siwei, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress told a conference in Beijing on Wednesday. A Chinese central bank vice director, Xu Jian, said the dollar was “losing its status as the world currency,” according to Bloomberg News.

Mr. Cheng later told reporters he was not saying China would buy more euros and dump dollars. But as markets opened across Europe, those words echoed as a invocation to sell the American currency.

The dollar fell to its lowest level against the Canadian dollar since 1950, the British pound since 1981, and the Swiss franc since 1995. The euro rose to a new record, $1.4729, before retreating.....

I am saying many skilled and talented lawyers are present and stand ready to make the case at any time that they are able to do so. The proof is the absence of any serious case. Willie faced a serious case. Nixon faced a serious case. The crime was clear long before Impeachment reached Congress.

_______________

Let's cut alla coy bullshit, shall we?

It ain't "skilled and talented lawyers" case to make. It's Congress' case to make. Just cuz Congress don't have the stones to make the case don't mean there ain't no case to make.

Here are Nixon's articles of impeachment.

If you actually read them w/an objective and fair mind, you will prolly be astonished to note just how strikingly tame they seem -- in comparison to the manifold offenses committed by the Bush administration.

I might also remind you that Clinton was impeached (but not convicted) over a ridiculous perjury trap that amounted to lying inna civil deposition about a sexual relationship w/an intern that affected no fucking one but his family.

That is precedent, Mr. or Mrs. 97 Percent.

Now: Has Bush, Cheney lied to the American people?

Repeatedly. Demonstrably. Convictably.

Have the results of those lies impacted more than just their families?

Oh, yeah.

Your 97-percent pose is too cute by half.

Look, if you wanna maintain that the Bush administration specifically (and Republicans generally) can break the fucking law w/impunity whenever it suits their fancy b/c no one in any authority dares to challenge their right to do so, then fine.

I will regrettably and w/shame for this country admit that you have a point.

It, sir or madam, is a contemptible but true fact.

To say that there are no impeachable offenses committed by the Bush administration and that the proof is in the no-action pudding is either the heigth of naive ignorance or the depth of willful self-deception.

It took years before Nixon's actions came to a head in the form of the threat of impeachment, and they only did b/c Nixon kept on stonewalling and alienating people and acting like an authoritarian prick who was above the law and accountable to no one.

Americans had had enough a long fucking time before Congress had. Sorta like now.

That impeachment proceedings haven't took flight before now (and I admit the present ones against Cheney may well go nowhere; yes, the Democrats are largely just that pathetic) is more a testament to the utter emasculation of party-over-country Republicans in Congress and to the political-expedience-over-country Democrats, not to any lack of impeachable offenses.

The Bush administration has been openly daring the Congress to "bring it on!" inna Constitutional show-down -- for years -- and Republicans and Democrats alike have refused to call this unanswered bluff.

So here we sit. W/a demonstrably lawless executive and Congress unwilling heretofore to do a damn thing about it.

But gotta sez: it's purty goddamn precious of you to sit there at your computer stroking your virtual chin over how we ain't had no impeachment on account a there ain't any offenses, otherwise we'da seen action.

...Now even if you think all of Congress is in Bush's pocket, you know the media would jump at the chance to be the next Woodward and Bernstein. Crimes? Nope, not even close...
---------
Okay. Now we are getting somewhere.

First, Congress can have an infinite number of reasons to not pursue criminal charges against the President and the Vice-President. The choice of Congress is not solely dependent upon whether the case is a slam-dunk or not. So your contention that no charges equals no case is bogus.

Second, you based one of your contentions on your certainty that "attorneys" would bring charges if a valid case could be made. I direct you to the following link so that you might bone up on Constitutional law. Only Congress can bring charges against a sitting President or Vice-President.

http://www.usdoj.gov/olc/sitting_president.htm

Third, ersatz Woodwards and Bernsteins HAVE exposed criminal action by the President and the Vice-President. Non-journalists also have exposed criminal action by the President and the Vice-President (Valerie Plame, for one). Only Congress has the power to act on the evidence.

Fourth, in your last post you claim that no crimes have been committed, apparently based on your assumption that "attorneys" would levy charges if a case could be made (which is not legally possible, see the link above), based on your assumption that Congress would send a recommendation of impeachment to the Senate if a case could be made (which is not the only criterion on which Congress might base such a recommendation), and on your assumption that journalists have the power to force Congress to investigate criminal acts (they don't). None of the above determines whether crimes have been committed. Criminals elude charges and convictions every day.

If your assumptions accurately determined whether crimes had been committed, then former President Nixon, who resigned his office, committed no crimes because President Ford pardoned him, forestalling impeachment proceedings and possible convictions for various criminal acts. The efforts of Woodward and Bernstein gained neither impeachment proceedings nor charges nor a trial, thus your assumption that journalists can force the hand of Congress (and, ultimately, justice) is incorrect. By your logic, Nixon did not commit crimes.

I don't have any more questions for you because I believe that you are lying to me if not to yourself as well. I believe that you are incapable of ignoring a preponderance of evidence that has flowed from many quarters. I believe that you are incapable of ignoring the learned legal opinions of scholars from both sides of the aisle. I believe that you have read the damning accounts of insiders who have worked in many administrations but who find criminal fault only with the current one.

The salient issue is, "Is this administration guilty of crimes?" I don't know if Congress will investigate. Even if the House moves forward, the Senate is too evenly split (and the Republicans too unwilling to break ranks) to vote to impeach. Without impeachment, there will be no trials.

None of the above answers the question, "Is this administration guilty of crimes?" and none of the above lessens the importance of the answer.

Boil 97's argument down to its essence and this is what you gets:

No action = prima facie evidence of no crimes.

I find it very difficult to b'lieve anyone is this stupid, so I tend to agree w/you that 97 is lying either to us, him-/herself or both.

For me, the crux of the biscuit of what 97 can truthfully maintain is summed up in these graphs:
Look, if you wanna maintain that the Bush administration specifically (and Republicans generally) can break the fucking law w/impunity whenever it suits their fancy b/c no one in any authority dares to challenge their right to do so, then fine.

I will regrettably and w/shame for this country admit that you have a point.

Bush on the Couch
By Justin Frank

If one of my patients frequently said one thing and did another, I would want to know why. If I found that he often used words that hid their true meaning, and affected a persona that obscured the nature of his actions, I would grow more concerned. If he presented an inflexible worldview characterized by an oversimplified distinction between right and wrong, good and evil, allies and enemies, I would question his ability to grasp reality. And if his actions revealed an unacknowledged – even sadistic – indifference to human suffering, wrapped in pious claims of compassion, I would worry about the safety of the people whose lives he touched.

Not to worry. I kinda got sidelined trying to find an example of a sitting president or vice-president who was charged with wife beating or shoplifting or something. It begs the question, "What if a President walked into a store, stuffed merchandise in his pocket, and walked out without paying?"

(First off, it might be a crime that Mr. 97 would comprehend.) As far as I have been able to learn, the same procedures must be undertaken by the House and the Senate in order for the President to be charged with shoplifting as would be required if he dropped a nuclear bomb on Pittsburgh.

Bruce Fein (Republican Constitutional and international law scholar and a former Associate Deputy Attorney General under Reagan) was on Bill Moyers Journal recently. He absolutely blows Mr. 97's weak argument out of the water.

My guess is that Mr. 97 is willfully ignorant because he is pouting over picking an incompetent nag for the big race. I remember Nixon apologists who acted just as petulantly even after the writing was all over the wall.

It explains his repetitious and Limbaughesque "3%" crap: He cannot face the fact that he has seen the three percent and it is him.

And the moronic (and insincere) claim that Congress would act if there was a reason to act reminded me of President Ford's words when he preemptively pardoned Nixon (paraphrasing), "It is time for the nation to begin the healing process."

In other words, he did not pardon Nixon because Nixon was not guilty. He pardoned Nixon for entirely unrelated reasons. Kinda like the unrelated reasons that Congress has for not investigating White House crimes.

the invisible hand slapping wingnuts in the culture war face?

This, to my mind, is an elegant and deft bit of argumentative jujitsu onna common movement-conservative culture-warrior hanky-wringing trope:

YOU WOULDN'T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY.
The Anchoress complains that a lot of commercials make men look stupider than women:
The first commercial had the Stupid Spoiled Father stamping his feet and holding his breath (literally) outside of a Subway because he wanted the meat-and-cheese whatever. The Insufferably Sensible Mother said, “no, honey, we have to take Chris to his soccer game.” When Stupid Spoiled Father began whining and holding his breath, Superior Life Form Child said, “yeah, Dad, grow up!” I’m paraphrasing, but you get the gist of it. The whole commercial was appallingly insulting and had me muttering that if I did eat Subway sandwiches, I’d have to stop because of those ads.

The Anchoress seems to think the big ad agencies (and Sesame Street) have been taken over by radical feminists "who cannot stop defensively 'celebrating' themselves, like an old scratched record that can’t move past a skip." Other female rightwingers of the Jesus sort have expressed similar objections here and here and here. It might have something to do with Dominion, or synchronized cycles or something.

Let me explain something about advertising.

Advertisers have always seen the advantage in playing to consumers' desire for status. For a long time these appeals were gender-distinct; women were presumed to want to bake better cakes than the neighbor lady, and men to want to be richer and more masculine than Mr. Jones next door.

Then advertisers began to notice that women held purchasing power for families as well as for themselves. The great David Ogilvy said in the 60s, "The consumer is not a moron, she is your wife." Advertisers sought to appeal to her more directly, and not just as the quartermaster for her brood.

When ad-men pitched her time-saving innovations like frozen foods, appliances, laundry add-ons ("Ancient Chinese secret, huh?"), and even beauty products ("Does she, or doesn't she?"), they began to emphasize that women could obtain benefits for themselves. If a housewife could produce dinner in minutes instead of an hour, the gain was all hers. If only her hairdresser knew for sure whether her blonde hair came from a bottle, that too was to her advantage. The female consumer was no longer enticed solely with improved status within her gender, but also with increased autonomy in the wider world.

So in their little psychodramas of salesmanship, advertisers were obliged to mix up their gender relations a bit. If your bread and butter relies upon telling a consumer how smart she would be to buy your product, you will eventually get around to saying that it would make her smarter than someone else -- maybe even, at times, her husband or boyfriend, since her status as a consumer does not necessarily put him and her on the same team.

Of course, you will also get commercials that portray men as smarter than their wives and kids (see the Verizon commercial in which the Steve Martinesque dad lies to his son, daughter, and wife), commercials that portray kids as smarter than their parents, etc. The market has more niches than the Longmen Grottoes, and there are many viable angles of approach to each.

In fact, many of the ads that show men as dummies are pitched at the men themselves, especially when the acceptance of infantilism is part of the pitch -- which is what I think is going on in the Subway ad that so exercises the Anchoress.

That, comrades, is capitalism. Ad agencies don't get their strategies from Satan or the Democratic Party -- they get them from market data, laboriously collected and analyzed. And they employ them because they bring in money.

Conservatives often seem to miss, when raging about the [culture war] stuff on their teevees, that it's really their beloved Invisible Hand [of the free market] that's slapping them in the face. They would rather believe it was Betty Friedan.

If conservative culture warriors ever stopped to consider how much of the damage they perceive to their "culture" is actually done by the free market, it would drive them mad.

I'm sure we are all constantly amazed with the lies being told, the news that's not and how the whole thing goes on from day to day.

Then Kucinich stands up and the house turns upside down. Maybe there's a key here. Get some back bencher to submit a bill, like SCHIP, and the House power Dems get up on how much they are against its passage. Do the obstructionist Repubs. in their contrariness have any choice but to be for it?

Well then why did you elect all those afraid people JB?

It does seem like the few brave ones get killed in plane crashes...however...there are a lot of people who "serve at the pleasure of the president" (not the people) and so if they're all afraid to stand up - let alone be fucking rational in just ONE thought each day...are you telling me there is no formidible (or able) foe to this type of _____...?

________________

And what *really* chaps my ass:

Ford was fucking wrong then to pardon Nixon, and Congress is doubly wrong now not to vigorously expose and repudiate the offenses of the Bush administration.

You can draw a straight fucking line from the lawlessness of Nixon to the spawn of Nixon (Cheney, Rumsfeld) to Reagan/Bush I's lawless bunch (Abrams, North, Poindexter, Weinberger et al.) to the trumped up impeachment of Clinton by the tandem efforts of an in-the-tank press corpse and Republican operatives eagerly feeding them bullshit wild-goose chases to the Brooks Bros. riots in 2000 and the Supreme Court awarding the presidency to Bush II to Bush II's (and especially Cheney's) unitary executive open contempt for the law.

It is all of a piece. And it is all "acceptable" part of 'Murican governance b/c no one in authority has ever challenged any of it inna comprehensive and coordinated way. Which allows disingenuous folks like 97 to claim that no action equals no crime.

If you allow this stuff to go unchallenged, unaddressed, hell, unac-fucking-knowledged in many ways -- if such lawless actions are not expressly repudiated, the Republicans just go dormant after their worst excesses are exposed, only to pop right up again like some kinda political herpes sore to plague the body politic once a sleepy 'Murican public forgets once again.

(Which takes surprisingly little time. You'd know better'n me, but it is my unnerstandin' that it were a commonly held sentiment that after Nixon, "Republicans would be disgraced well into the foreseeable future". Then here comes Reagan, four short years after Carter, bringing along 12 long years of Republican creative destruction.)

Prolly not, but as a general rule, you ain't mean so I wouldn't be lief to take it thattaway. I tries to give anyone the benefit of the doubt till deliberate assholery is firmly established.

'N should sez: I'm not down on others usin' emoticons, and I agree they often helps in quellin' misunnerstandin's. They's useful, take it all around.

So why am *I* down onnem?

Think it's prolly, truth be tolt, a foolish pride thing. I likes to b'lieve I can express my meanin' clearly, even tho' I knows it don't allus come thru either how I wants it to *or* how it's sposed to be perceived on the other end. Emoticons feels like a crutch, a kinda lazy short-hand that short-circuits thinkin' thru sayin' what I means w/precision 'n clarity.

'N I likes to b'lieve (tho' perhaps I'm mistaken) I gives the benefit of the doubt in return to most all until clarification of meanin' is established.

What I notices in my writin' here is, as jbenet mentions, text-only is fraught w/hazards for clear 'n effective communication, so consciously choosin' to not use emoticons affects how I write.

I.e. it's allus a conscious consideration reviewin' how a particular post will be read, puttin' myself in the shoes of the reader, 'n sometimes I am deliberately ambiguous 'n sometimes I wants to be crystal-fucking-clear (usual the jokes vs. makin' clear points distinction).

I guess I finds not usin' emoticons forces me to consider my modes of expression somewhat more carefully than I otherwise might, which, for me, I find useful, tho' not allus successful.

Bugs could show the Congress a thing er three about revoltin'

I wish Congress would get angry, and not afraid, but it looks like the members are up against the Mafia, so to speak.

What a revoltin' development this is...

When what is wanted from Congress:

"Of course, you re-a-lize. This means war."

Ew, bugs

Yes, jbenet! Muah!!!!

Only I was looking for it in mp3 form

I guess I'll have to go with the youtube...albeit not my first choice.

You've had a hard day...

Sleep well. (hugs)

I'm getting on a plane in like 4 hours

I know it's paranoid, but I just backed up my bookmarks and cleared them, in case I'm lucky enough to get the third degree.

You can imagine what my bookmarks look like.

PRESIDENT BUSH: I spoke to President Musharraf right before I came over here to visit with President Sarkozy. And my message was that we believe strongly in elections, and that you ought to have elections soon, and you need to take off your uniform.

He would then take oath as president, before which Gen Musharraf has pledged to take off his uniform.

Should get a little sleep.

SOMETIMES

it's best not to apologise nor explain

mainly because i get all tangled up in my primeval juices

that i need to delve into to apologise or explain fully, coherently and concisely

(i go mute)

UNMUTE!

i don't apologise for what i said to alice

naturally, i do apologise for my hurtful remarks to alice

in that i took no pleasure from my sarcasm

yes, i was angry

i detest trolls with a passion and the unfair advantage they have by being anonymous

so when anyone, ANYONE!, including alice, defends their "right" to be anonymous, especially on the grounds that sam's decision is capricious ("we're vulnerable to the man's whimsy") and draconian, i STRIKE! the same way a snake strikes when stepped on

then...

sorry the Anonymous was so mean to you this morning...//

one moment she's defending the noble ideal that "every sperm is sacred"
the next she's sympathising with toni for being abused by the anonymous troll

(wtf)

that's oil & water thinking...

sorry, but i detest stupidity more than trolls

ESPECIALLY!!!,

MY OWN STUPIDITY IN THEIR MANY GUISES

(for instance, keeping a lid on my raging emotions)

LOL!

Regarding the latest Democratic capitulation on the AG; Submission Accomplished. WTF?
I guess I should be lauding the Dems that took courageous stances; however, I am a bit skeptical of Harry Reid's opposition to the AG. Will he encourage a fillibuster? I doubt it. Will he do anything about ending the war funding? Will the Death Cult get a blank check?

I'm not optimistic?
