Barrie Responds: I so hope that muckraker is correct. It becomes so difficult to know what the truth is and what to worry about or not worry about. The Bush administration has long ago proven it can't be trusted yet the press almost always just passes on their comments and reports as "news" as if they (the media)were their (govt's) press agents.

The build up for a war in Iran is beginning, with the press reporting it with its eyes closed once again.

We, the US, have said it is OK to torture people and use whatever is said during the torture as "evidence" against people who can be arrested without ever being charged with a crime.

We saw what happened with Karina; with Iraq; and so forth.

So, when something like this comes around and is hidden--my worries come out. So, I do hope Muckraker is correct on this one.

The US seems so much like Nazi Germany in the early 1930s, tho, that its frightening. The Germans were a bright, alert, intelligent public with a great Constitution--and look what fear and lies had wrought there.

I always wondered how that could ever happen to a people. Now I hope it is not happening here.

Barrie Responds: That's amazing. I so much dislike and disapprove of that whole campaign against Kerry--and always wished that Kerry fought back better. I heard Corsi on C-Span speaking about this--and had no idea what his background was.

What is amazing is that he would say these things about the Bush administration--after helping to attack Kerry which HELPED Bush win.

I don't know what it is at play here, but it seems to make for strange bedfellows.
