I think that Israel has an idea of itself as being noble. Israeli people have an idea of themselves as being noble. When you attack somebody but you have this idea of yourself that you're the good guy and you think that well, how can this be? I'm the good guy and I'm killing these people, and what you do is you blame the people that you killed and you hear all the time from Israeli spokespeople that they are angry with the people they have murdered for making them murder them.
And it is the foulest..kind of ..it is the psychology of the murderer, it is the psychology of the rapist, it is the psychology of the bully. That's what Israel is in this situation."

I think he succinctly nails the 'shooting and crying' mythos and was under-reported in favour of the other names and their less insightful words at the protest press conference. I thought it deserved to be highlighted (and coincidentally I had just finished watching the DVD releases of his first two BBC series of 'Stuff').

I've been a fan of his for years. Time to time, I paraphrase him, saying the problem with all his buddies from the comedy store getting famous (back in the late 80's) was that they became freinds with phil collins and could no longer mock how bad his music was.
This is a great clip and I agree with his sentiments wholeheartedly.

Yes I remember you having said that and it is very true particularly in the case of one Mr. Ben Elton (who would *allegedly* watch Alexei's club act on Thursday and repeat the gags as his own on tv on Friday and then became chums with tory millionaire 'composer' Andrew Lloyd Webber).
The first comment on youtube calls him a self hating Jew and likens him to a Nazi, bringing out the golden oldies!
